The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has come to a conclusion about Paul Walker’s cause of death Wednesday, Celebuzz has confirmed.
The Fast & Furious star, who perished in a fiery car crash last Saturday, died of combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries, according to the coroner’s report.
The 40-year-old actor got into the passenger seat of the Porsche Carerra GT with his friend and 38-year-old business partner, Roger Rodas, who after the autopsy is listed as having suffered multiple traumatic injuries.
The deaths have been ruled by the coroner as accidents.
CB! confirmed the autopsies were completed Tuesday after dental records were obtained to positively identify the bodies.
The toxicology reports will take longer, however. The coroner has estimated that those results will be available within the next six to eight weeks.
Witness Jim Torp, who was at the toy drive event hosted by Walker and Rodas last weekend at their car warehouse for Always Evolving, remembers watching Walker drive away:
“As it was winding down, vendors were leaving, people were parking the cars in the warehouse and both of them wanted to go for a drive before parking it. Another person was going to go for a ride with Roger, but Paul decided to,” he told Celebuzz.
“They were laughing and having a good time,” Torp added. “Their last words were ‘we’ll be back in five minutes.’”
May they rest in peace…Amen!
